Urban Climbing in Richmond, Virginia

As they explain in this video, the Manchester Wall in Richmond is the remnant of a railroad bridge that was built in the 1830’s. It’s obviously no longer in use today, as it was damaged in the civil war. More recently, the climbing community have started flocking to it.

I was entranced by this video for three reasons. First, I think it’s awesome when local climbers make use of their local environment (even when it’s man-made). Second, it’s really cool that this is filmed in Richmond (so close to Vertical Rock)! Lastly, I really enjoyed the soundtrack from the video. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
