WW: Lynn Hill
Considered one of the top competitive sport climbers in the world during the late 80s and early 90s, Lynn Hill was extremely active early in life. She came close to breaking a world record for weight lifting and also ran competitively.
Hill has set several records for first female ascents and also first ascents overall but is most known for making the first free ascent of the difficult sheer rock face of The Nose on El Capitan in Yosemite Valley. Let’s take a second to appreciate what she’s done for climbing!
