Individual Membership: I will not allow any person except the Member(s) listed on this Membership Agreement (Agreement) to utilize my VR Membership.

 

Family Membership: Only my immediate family members are eligible for the Family Membership in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia which includes Wife, Husband, and Dependents.

 

Identification: Each Member will provide VR with a copy of a valid driver’s license or Virginia State Identification Card before taking part in activities at the Vertical Rock Facility located at 10225 Nokesville Rd, Manassas, VA 20110 (VR Facility)

 

Waiver: Each Member will execute the Vertical Rock Waiver in person at the VR Facility before they engage in any type of activity at the VR Facility. I understand that I must pass the VR Belay Certification Test to belay in the VR Facility. Any Member under 13 years of age may not belay in the VR Facility.

 

Payment Authorization: I authorize Vertical Rock (VR) to effect payment in accordance with this Agreement. I understand that Automatic Withdrawals and my Payment Authorization will continue automatically for the Membership Term and continue on a month to month basis beyond my Membership Term, or until such earlier date on which I mail written notice of my intent to cancel (as permitted below) by certified mail, return receipt requested, or by registered mail to the VR Facility.

Electronic Transfer Fees: I understand that it may take up to thirty (30) days to process the termination of this Payment Authorization. Therefore, I agree to pay the electronic transfer return fee established by VR for any payment that is not honored by my bank or credit card company.

 

Penalty Fee: I will pay a $100 penalty fee to VR for all payments due to VR in accordance with this Agreement that are not received by the 1st day of every month and for any failed bank account or credit card payments. I authorize VR to effect payment for Penalty Fees utilizing the Billing Information included in this Agreement.

 

Membership Cancellation Move: I agree that this Agreement may be terminated if: (1) Member moves 40 miles, or more from the address provided in Member Information and 40 miles or more from the VR Facility. The follow documentation is required to evidence such a move: (i) a driver’s license reflecting the address change and (ii) a utility bill showing Member’s new address and name. This agreement and any membership fees will be terminated not later than 30 days after the date these documents are received by VR.

 

Membership Cancellation Medical Conditions: This Agreement may be terminated for certain medical conditions evidence by a letter from a medical doctor stating that a Member is not physically fit to participate in climbing activities for 90 days or more. This Agreement and any remaining membership fees that are due will be terminated not later than 30 days after the date these documents are received by VR.

 

Membership Freeze: My Membership may be frozen in one-month increments for a maximum of two months, in any 12-month period. Notice of such a Membership Freeze shall be sent by email to VR at billing@climb-va.com with the words “Membership Freeze” in the subject line, 30 days before the date that such Membership Freeze will begin.

 

Additional Services: In addition to the facilities, programs and services provided as part of the Membership Agreement, VR also provides, for additional fees not included in this agreement, personal fitness training, yoga classes, dietitian services, nutritionist services, cross fit classes, birthday events, corporate events, various children’s events, beverage and snack vending, climbing instruction, belay services, and lock-ins. VR performs these services according to its own methods and within the scope of the member’s authorization and cooperation. It is understood that VR does not guarantee success or desired results from any Additional Services. If a Member desires to use any Additional Services, they will pay compensation to VR for the above Additional Services for the amount advertised and agreed upon by the current VR Description/Rate form. This compensation shall be payable as a lump sum, in advance, or in installments as part of a payment plan in accordance with the above Billing Information that I have provided. Payments are non-refundable and may not be transferred. There will be no refunds and such Additional Service may not be transfer to any other Member or person.

 

Additional Services Cancellation Fee: A Member must provide at least 72 hours advance notice to VR by email to billing@climb-va.com with the words “CANCELLATION” in the subject line to cancel any Additional Service. If a Member fails to provide this notice, member will be charged the regular fee for the Additional Service using the Billing Information provided above.

Online registration requires full payment by credit card. Visit Vertical Rock Indoor Climbing Center or email info@climb-va.com to register via other payment methods.

Payment & Rescheduling Policy:

To reschedule a class, visit Vertical Rock Climbing Center or email info@climb-va.com.

Indoor Courses: Payments are non-refundable. Rescheduling of a class must be done at least 48 hours prior to the class date. Vertical Rock will be unable to reschedule if informed less than 48 hours prior to the class.

Competitions: Payments are non-refundable.

Annual Members:

One of the many benefits of Vertical Rock membership is discounts on courses. To receive the member discount, the course participant or competition participant must be an annual member. Member status will be verified after course registration is complete and on the day of the course at check it. When registering online, member and non-member registrations must be completed separately.
