Birthday Parties

We keep a 1:5 ratio of instructors to climbers to guarantee everyone will have a great experience!

This 2 hour group climbing experience is the perfect way to celebrate your favorite climber. A host will assist you during the entire event, which is made up by 1 hour 15 min of climbing and 45 minutes in a private party room for food & presents. Bring in your own food, cake and beverages or have it delivered to the gym and also check out further add-ons to get our party favor packages!

We provide all the essential safety gear and experienced climbing instructors to make your event fun and absolutely hassle-free – we’re there to assist the participants with all of their needs!

Our Birthday Parties have a $315 minimum which includes up to 10 climbers.

Group & Team Building Events

Check out our Group Event package for your next corporate outing or team building event.

The Group Event package includes 2 hours of climbing or instruction with our instructors. All group events can be tailored to your groups needs; choose between climbing only with the assistance of our professional instructors, or a private learn the ropes course (basic climbing skills) course to build trust and interaction.

Included: 2 hours of climbing or instruction, essential safety gear, vertical rock staff/belayer, instructors/belayers for the 2 hours, a 1 To 6 ratio of instructors to climbers, our Group Events have a minimum of $350 for up to 10 climbers, invite more climbers for $35 each.

Excludes Party room.

Lock-Ins

Have the gym to yourself!
Available any day of the week.

13 and Older: The lock in will start off with a FREE Learn the Ropes intro course, which will teach the participants all of the necessary safety in order to climb in the facilty and manage the ropes without the need for an instructor.

12 and Under: The lock-in will start off with a 2 hour group event where our staff will belay the group during their roped climb. After the group event the participants will be climbing on the bouldering wall or they can bring games, order pizza, etc for the rest of the evening.

Scout Merit Badge Program (ages 12+): is available during the lock-in for an additional $60 per participant (the merit badge Program is normally $75 without the lock-in). All lock-in participants do not have to take part in the merit badge program.

Once the Learn the Ropes class or the Group Event is over, a Vertical Rock Staff member will stay at the facility the entire evening to assist with anything the group may need. The group will need to provide 2 chaperones (over the age of 25) to every 25 children (25 person minimum for lock-ins).

Scout Merit Badge

Boy / Girl Scout badges offered.

No prior knowledge required!
Merit badge participants will learn the required materials to earn the climbing merit badge. The courses are taught by certified Eagle Scout/Merit Badge Counselors. We also offer Partial Merit Badges. For more information, please contact info@climb-va.com

This Bouldering experience is the perfect way to come together and have a great time working together as a TEAM! An Instructor will guide the group through a 1.5 hour climbing lesson which is a ton of fun! The Group will be introduced to the sport of Bouldering, taught how to read the routes, introduced to proper footwork and then the group will be free to boulder for as long as they would like for the rest of the day!

VR Tysons does not have a party room, but we are perfectly located next to Chick-Fil-A, Chipotle and Kura Revolving Sushi! The main floor of VR Tysons is our Basecamp Coffee Roasters and everyone is welcome to grab a table and bring cake or whatever you would like!

Shoes are included with your party package (based on availability)

9 and Older: The lock in will start off with a FREE intro to Bouldering course, This Bouldering experience is the perfect way to come together and have a great time working together as a TEAM! An Instructor will guide the group through a 1.5 hour climbing lesson which is a ton of fun! The Group will be introduced to the sport of Bouldering, taught how to read the routes, introduced to proper footwork and then the group will be free to boulder.

You can opt out of the Intro to Bouldering class and follow your dreams! The group is free to boulder for the evening bring games, order pizza, etc!.

A Vertical Rock Staff member will stay at the facility the entire evening to assist with anything the group may need. The group will need to provide 2 chaperones (over the age of 25) to every 25 children (25 person minimum for lock-ins).
